Which Hand to Read?
Your dominant hand (the one you write with) shows your present and future — the life you've actively created. Your non-dominant hand shows your potential and past — what you were born with.
The Three Major Lines
Heart Line
Runs across the top of the palm, under the fingers. Reveals emotional nature and approach to love.
- Long, deep: Warm, expressive in love
- Short: More self-focused, less romantic
- Curved upward: Expresses emotions freely
- Straight: Rational about love, guarded
- Broken: Significant emotional events or changes
Head Line
Runs horizontally across the middle of the palm. Shows thinking style and mental approach.
- Long: Clear, focused thinker
- Short: Pragmatic, prefers physical activity
- Curved: Creative, imaginative
- Straight: Logical, analytical, practical
- Separated from life line: Independent, adventurous spirit
Life Line
Curves around the base of the thumb. Indicates vitality, physical energy, and major life changes.
- Deep, clear: Strong vitality and health
- Faint: Lower energy — take care of yourself
- Long: NOT about lifespan — about life satisfaction
- Breaks: Major life changes, relocations, transformations
- Close to thumb: Reserved, cautious
- Wide arc: Outgoing, adventurous
Palmistry is about patterns, not single features. A short life line with a deep heart line and curved head line tells a different story than any line alone.
